How ShipVehicles Works

Providing Auto Shipping Quotes on ShipVehicles

1. Getting Started: Once you sign up with ShipVehicles, log on to your My Quotes page, and you will be provided a number of options for viewing auto transport leads. By creating RFQ Alert settings, ShipVehicles can automatically notify you when specific vehicle shipping loads you are seeking become available. For example, if you focus on enclosed car shipping, you can use RFQ Alert to automatically retrieve all new enclosed RFQs on the system. Of course, you will also be encouraged to utilize our RFQ search engine. Use it to seek out loads based on any number of parameters, such as vehicle origin and/or destination, vehicle type, and trailer method. You may also simply view all of the active RFQs on the system.

2. Placing a Quote: Placing a quote is easy. When you click on an RFQ to view its details, you will also be provided with a simple interface for providing a quote. All you have to do is fill in your quote amount and whether the delivery method will be enclosed, open, or either. It is highly recommended that you enter the estimated time of pick-up and delivery at this time. Often this is a critical selling point to consumers and vehicle dealers.

2a. Modifying a Quote: Once you have placed a quote you, will have the option of lowering it. Should the quote you provide be more expensive than the lowest quote provided, you may wish to make your quote more competitive. You may do this only once per RFQ.

3. Your Results: When the RFQ closes and the customer selects your quote as the winner, you will be notified immediately on your My Quotes page and via e-mail. Your quotes ARE NOT INDEFINITE AND WILL EXPIRE in two business days (from your RFQ close date) unless accepted and secured. You are notified via e-mail if your quote is not selected and also if it expires, so that you may free up that space on your truck and bid on other RFQs on ShipVehicles.

4. Contact the Customer: If you provide the winning quote, you will be notified immediately and asked to contact them within 24 hours to secure their position and arrange pickup and delivery. Customers may also contact you if they choose. Finally, you will be asked to send customers a copy of your current insurance coverage and a service agreement.
